Autopsy shows man taken out of Holston River drowned
The man believed to be fishing along the Holston River in Kingsport died from accidental drowning.
That finding was determined by forensic experts at ETSU who conducted an autopsy on 75-year-old Ronald Wayne Davidson. Investigators surmised Davidson was at the waterway fishing when he fell.
He was taken out of the river’s South Fork near the southbound bridge on John B. Dennis Highway on April 30th.
