Shooting at Bristol Regional Medical Center under investigation
Police are investigating a shooting that took place at the Bristol Reginal Medical Center Wednesday at around 9:43 p.m. Officials say there is no active threat to the public. Ballad officials said a gun was allegedly discharged by a patient amid a “security incident” and no active shooter was on the premises. As a precaution, an active shooter alert was called to ensure the safety of staff and patients and Bristol Tennessee Police remained on scene.
