ETSU to increase tuition starting 2024 fall semester
East Tennessee State University will be increasing its tuition and fees by 5.25 percent for the fall 2024 semester. That increase was approved Friday with the additional revenue largely going toward the creation of a $6.68 million salary pool. Officials say that the schools compensation rates are below market and increasing salaries is essential to keeping exceptional employees. ETSU said that the increased rate will amount to in-state undergraduate students paying about $261 more per semester. Over the past 5 years, the average annual increase of tuition and fees has been around 2 percent.
