JCPD arrest man for sexual battery

Johnson City Police report says On Aug. 4 around 11 p.m., officers arrested 70 year old Herculano Sablas of Johnson City and charged him with sexual battery. Police say on Aug. 3 around 8:45 p.m., officers responded to an apartment complex on West Watauga Avenue in reference to a sexual assault. The investigation revealed Sablas assaulted another resident of the building. Sablas was transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
