Lawsuit filed by former federal prosecutor against Johnson City on hold, more evidence being sought
A former federal prosecutor is suing Johnson City Police, seeking more evidence in the case of accused rapist Sean Williams, before her claims can go to trial. In the filing this week, the prosecutor, Kat Dahl, requests copies of texts and written communications between city manager Cathy Ball, former police chief Karl Turner, and real estate agent Shannon Castillo – related to an attempted purchase of Williams’ condo, as well as other financial records and depositions from defendant officers concerning any new evidence found. A judge has not ruled on the motion yet. A trial in the case had been set for Tuesday and is now on hold.
