Public hearing for Ballad Health COPA to be rescheduled again
A hearing scheduled for November 21st for Ballad Health, originally scheduled for July 18, has been postponed again with no new date being determined. The Tennessee Department of Health cites damage from the hurricane Helene floods as reason for the delay. Many residents had signed up to speak at the hearing, which would allow people to voice opinions about the hospital system’s compliance with the “Certificate of Public Advantage” or (COPA). TDH will announce a new date, time, and location when it reschedules the hearing. TDH also is notifying those that signed up to make comments during the public hearing that the meeting is being rescheduled.
