Greeneville man accused of murdering parents

A Northeast Tennessee man is being held on a $2 million bond after investigators said he murdered his parents on Friday.

A report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department said Jessie Wilhoit, 35, was arrested without incident and later charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

The bodies of Ray “Allen” Wilhoit, 60, and Cassandra Wilhoit, 68, were recovered on property in the 500 block of Hartman Lane in Greeneville.

Jessie Wilhoit is scheduled for arraignment on Monday. The report said the case remains active.
