Washington County officers deploy drone to catch domestic case suspect

Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff Keith Sexton said his officers deployed a drone equipped with a thermal imaging camera to spot a domestic violence suspect hiding in the woods.

Shaun Travis Hill, 43, fled the scene after the seriously injured victim called 911. Investigators said Hill threw the woman into a wall, slammed her head on a kitchen sink, pulled a chunk of hair out of her head, and then smashed her cell phone after she called police.

Hill was spotted on the drone’s camera cowering behind a fallen tree a quarter mile from the scene, then taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault.
