Elizabethton Golf Course now opened after Hurricane Helene damage

The Elizabethton Golf Course has now opened after it was closed for almost six months after Hurricane Helene. Golf course officials say five holes on the course sustained significant tree damage. The city of Elizabethton made the decision to close the course until the trees could be removed. The golf course lost a total of 80 trees due to the Hurricane. The course reopened for play in mid March, and has the 30th annual William B. Greene Jr. East Tennessee Amateur scheduled this year from July 4-6.
