Help May Be On The Way For Northeast Tennessee And Southwest Virginia’s Opioid Crisis
Help, in the form of more money for treatment, expanded access to an overdose prevention drug and lifting restrictions to treatment for Medicare and Medicaid,may be in store for Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia’s opioid crisis. Wednesday President Trump signed into law a measure that will also encourage doctors to stop handing out 30 day supplies of the highly addictive drugs. The bill was signed into law after Congress passed it by a 398 to three vote and a 98 to one vote in the senate.
