Washington County, TN Schools Operating in a “shelter in place” Protocol
Washington County Tennessee Schools are operating in a “shelter in place” protocol after the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and director of schools, Bill Flanery, discovered that a portable device was used to send a threatening message.
The message was reportedly made on Twitter and said a school shooting would occur. Under the protocol students will be kept in doors as a precautinary measure.
The threat didnt mention any specific school or area in which the shooting was to take place. Investigators believe the threat originated in Johnson City.
