Russell County Supervisors Dissolve Castlewood Public Service Authority

The Russell County Virginia Board of Supervisors has basically dissolved the Castlwood Public Service Authority for several management and financial issues. The authority provides water and sewer service to 18 hundred customers in the town of Castlewood. A huge cash flow issue, has caused budgetary problems and the authority admits its a debt they can’t manage. But the interim director says customers should not worry and that day to day activities will not change and customers will receive service. Meanwhile, state police continue their investigation into the financial practices of the service authority.
