Sullivan County Correctional Officer Fired After Investigation Of Use Of Force

A Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department correctional officer has been fired from his duties after an investigation of a use of force incident at the county jail. Christopher Sabo, was fired from the department on November first, following an internal review of the case. Those findings were sent to the District Attorney’s office where, DA Barry Staubus ordered another review to be conducted by an outside police force. The probe led to an assault charge placed against Sabo.
