Mount Carmel Board of Mayor and Alderman Approves Parking Ban on Residential Streets
Parking will soon be banned on residential streets in Mount Carmel.
The Board of Mayor and Alderman approved the motion last Thursday, with the only exception being if winter weather conditions make it impossible for a resident to pull in their driveway.
Of the concerns from the public that attended the meeting, safety was the main issue prompting this change.
Enforcement of the ordinance with be withheld for at least a month, as a decision will be made whether to increase signs in the affected neighborhoods and how much a fine will be for violating the law.
