Virginia Lawmakers Pass Elder Abuse Legislation

Virginia lawmakers have passed legislation designed to help local communities fight back against elder abuse. Delegate Todd Pillion and Senator Ben Chaffin co sponsored the resolution which was recently signed by Governor Northam. The legislation allows localities to establish a multi disciplinary team that reviews elder abuse, neglect and exploitation cases. The teams will be made up of professionals from different backgrounds in areas of elder abuse.
