Former Virginia State Police Special Agent Convicted in Corruption Trial
A former Virginia State Police Special agent has been convicted in a corruption trial.
46-year-old Shade Carlton Workman was the commander of the Tazewell County High Intensity Drug Task Force. Following a five-day jury trial Workman has been convicted of federal bribery, obstruction of justice, making a false statement to a federal agent.
Workman solicited sexual favors from female confidential informant in exchange for agreeing to assist them with pending criminal charges.
