Sullivan County Schools Reviewing Possible Textbooks, Including One That Covers Islamic Religion
The Sullivan County School Board is currently in the process of reviewing possible textbooks for use in the school system, including a controversial one that covers the Islamic Religion as well as other religions. A meeting will take place later this month to allow the public to review the textbooks as well. The school board goes through a textbook adoption process each year and then selects which textbooks students will use . That meeting takes place Monday April 15 from four to six pm at the Akard Service Center in Bristol Tennessee
