FBI Office in Richmond Releases Name of Victim Killed on Appalachian Trail
Authorities have released the identity of the victim killed on the Appalachian Trail.
The FBI Office in Richmond says Ronald Sanchez, 43, from Oklahoma died from his injuries after being involved in an alleged violent attack with James Jordan that resulted in Sanchez’s death. Jordan is charged with one count of murder within the special maritime and jurisdiction of the United States, and one count of assault with intent to commit murder within the special maritime and jurisdiction of the United States. As of Tuesday, the identities of the other hikers are still being withheld.
