Carter Man Injured In House Fire…Home A Total Loss

A Carter County man was injured and his home totally destroyed by an early morning fire. The fire broke out at a home on the 600 block of Long Hollow Road around 245 Wednesday morning. Firefighters from the Hampton Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze and battled it for several hours. The injured home owner was taken to a local hospital for treatment of burns to his upper body. No other injuries were reported.
