Tractor Trailer Hauling Vehicles Crashes, Blocks Traffic On 81 In Sullivan County

A truck driver escapes injury after he crashes his trailer carrying a load of new vehicles on Southbound I-81 Thursday afternoon in Sullivan County closing the affected section of 81 southbound for hours. That accident occurred near mile marker 73 after the truck left the road when the driver maneuvered to avoid hitting another vehicle in front of it. The tractor trailer then overturned and landed in the median. No injuries were reported but charges against the truck driver are pending according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol who worked the accident.
