VSP Investigating Fatal Incident in Washington County, VA Involving Tractor-Trailer

Virginia State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatal incident that occurred early Thursday morning in Washington County, VA.

VSP says the incident occurred just before 5:00 A.M, when a tractor trailer and car collided in the northbound lanes on Interstate 81 near Exit 17. One fatality has been confirmed. The crash is under investigation. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
