Buchanan County Company To Layoff Nearly 200 Employees

Nearly 200 employees of a Buchanan County call center will soon be out of job. Sykes Enterprises, a digital marketing and customer service global outsourcer based in Tampa, Florida made the announcement 197 employees who work at the Vansant community business will be losing their jobs in early September. Company officials says the layoffs are due to a local client that has decided to end operations. Sykes officials say they are looking for another client that could locate at the site in hopes of restaffing the call center.
