Tennessee High School Junior Dies In Sunday Drowning Incident On South Holston Lake
UPDATE, 1:30 p.m.
A report issued by Capt. Andy Seabolt of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon regarding the drowning death of Tennessee High School junior Micah Montgomery said: “Investigators spoke with witnesses and this incident is an unfortunate accident.”

Tennessee High School officials in Bristol have confirmed that a male, student at Tennessee High School has died from a Sunday drowning incident on South Holston Lake.
The body of Micah Montgomery, 16, who was a Junior and a member of the THS Football Team was recovered from South Holston Lake by members of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team yesterday afternoon just after 4 p.m.
The investigation is continuing and is being conducted by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
