Police Identify Vitim in Sullivan County Fire

An investigation is underway after an early morning fire claims the life of an unidentified Sullivan County man. Crews responded to the blaze on Shipley Ferry Road around 6:45 am. When firefighters arrived, the front of the home was already in flames. They were able to put the fire out but a man living in the home was unable to get out. Deputies in the criminal investigation division are looking into the incident but no foul play is suspected at this time. The man’s name is being withheld until next-of-kin can be notified.
