Man Facing Charges After Swinging Axe at Police
A Bristol, Tennessee man is facing charges after attempting to assault an officer with an axe. Police were searching for Eric Crawford who had an outstanding search warrant. Crawford was found hiding in a closet, at which time he came out swing the axe. That’s when the officer shot Crawford who was taken to an area hospital for treatment. A Sullivan County Grandy Jury charged Crawford with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endagerment with a deadly weapon. He is being held in the Sullivan County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
