Carter County Authorities Searching For Suspect Who Eludes Police…Disappears Into River

Carter County authorities are searching this afternoon for a suspect who lead police on a pursuit and then fled on foot after crashing his vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies responded to multiple calls on a red Ford truck being driven by Lance Justin Lewis. Lewis fled the scene after deputies attempted to stop him and then fled on foot into a river and has not been seen since. Lewis is charged with Felony Evading Arrest as well as other offenses.
