Greene County Man May Now Face Upgraded Charges After Wife Dies From Beating

Humberto Paulino Gomez, remains in jail in North Carolina and will now likely face a murder charge after his wife…who was severely beaten by Gomez has now died from her injuries. Beatriz Flores was found beaten outside a Greene County home last Sunday. Gomez, also shot at another person at the residence before fleeing to North Carolina. Flores died after being taken off of life support. Gomez is awaiting extradiction from an Anson County, North Carolina jail and will face possible upgraded charges in Greene County.
