Hawkins High Speed Chase Nets North Carolina Woman On Drug Charges

An Asheville, North Carolina woman was in such a hurry to reach Washington D.C., that she led Hawkins County authorities on a high speed chase reaching speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour. 30 year old Alison Lea Sher caught the attention of police when she was clocked going 91 in a 55 speed zone. She refused to slow down or stop until she was eventually forced off to the side of the road. Added to her woes is a possession of marijuana charge. Sher was released from the Hawkins County jail after posting an 85 hundred dollar bond.
