Out Of Order Resolution To Reduce Hawkins Commissioners from 21 to 14 Fails

A resolution that would have reduced the number of county commissioners in Hawkins County by one third has failed. An out of order resolution… a resolution that was too late to be added to the county’s commissions agenda did not make it to the commission floor this week. Last month, the commission approved a resolution to decrease the size of the group from 21 to 14 when the election cycle rolls around again in 2022.
