Wise County Escapee Apprehended

A Wise County prison escapee is back in custody after being captured in North Carolina. Samuel Jackson Penley escaped recently from the Duffield Regional Jail Authority while he was receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. Penley, was apprehended by officers with the Bessemer City North Carolina Police Department and was found in possession of a stolen vehicle. After being extradicted back to Wise County, Penley will face escape charges.
