Resurfacing of I-26, Around the Johnson City Exit’s Slated to be Completed by Sept. 30

DS RESURFACING
The Tennessee Department of Transportation is working on some much needed improvements on Interstate 26 through the Johnson City community.
Mark Nagi, A TDOT spokesman said this on Wednesday,
“ The clearing work they are doing is part of the ongoing resurfacing project on I-26, between the Boone’s Creek exit and the one at University Parkway. Summers-Taylor Inc. got the contract in March for the $6,961,645,55.
He went on to say, “The resurfacing work is being done at night, but the clearing is done during the day…”
Completion of the project is expected by Sept. 30.
