Dobyns-Bennett Students Could Be Elected To City School Board By Peers

A plan is being discussed, and if approved would allow for students at Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport to be elected to a position on the Kingsport School Board. Principal Chris Hampton says the student or students could be elected by their peers and suggested another could selected by teachers and administrators. The propsal was discussed at the Board of Educaton’s annual retreat over the weekend.
