Carter County Chief Deputy’s Wife Receives Phone Scam Targeting the region
A report issued by the Carter County Sherriff’s Office warns citizen’s of a new phone scam. When you answer the telephone, the caller says you are under Federal Investigation. They then dig for your personal information.
Chief Deputy Parrish said, “My wife personally receieved one of these calls,”He goes on to say, “We have three reported that we are investigating, but there are probably many more that are unreported.
