Historic First for East Tennessee State University
Wednesday, June 20th marks a historic day for East Tennessee State University. Nicole Collins was named as the new chief of the schools’s public safety development. She is a native of Knoxville, TN. She most recently worked as an assistant chief of police at NYU’s Public Safety Department. Collins replaces Jack Cotrel after his 40 year career with the Univeristy. She is the first African American and woman to be appointed to the position.
