Investigation Underway at Bristol Virginia City Jail

An investigation into an attempted suicide is underway at the Bristol Virginia City Jail according to a report from the Bristol Virginia Police Department.

An inmate was discovered hanging inside a cell at about 11:30 p.m. Monday. They were seen by paramedics and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No foul play is suspected at this time.
