Fatal Crash Kills One in Hawkins County

A multiple vehicle incident on Highway 11W in Hawkins County has claimed the life of one.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Lumina failed to yield to an oncoming northbound truck when it was attempting to get on the southbound direction of 11W. Reports from the highway patrol say that the driver, Harley Wallen, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said no criminal charges will be filed.
