Police Still Searching For Woman Who Leads Authorities on Pursuit

Bristol and Washington County Virginia authorities are searching for a woman who led police on a pursuit after receiving a call of two women shoplifting at a local store. When police arrived at the Dollar General on Benhams Road a woman exited the store and refused to stop for police. Police say 34 year old Heather Nicole Callahan then fled law enforcement, nearly striking a deputy as she left the scene. Police later found the car abandoned and discovered a stolen handgun inside the vehicle. Callahan is wanted on numerous charges including attempting to maliciously injure a polie officer.
