Large Grants Headed To Southwest Virginia For School Security Equipment

Three southwest Virginia school systems have received large grants to help purchase school security equipment. Lee and Wise Counties received one hundred thousand dollars and Scott County will spend more than 82 thousand dollars each on various forms of school security equipment including, video monitoring equipment, metal detectors, and direct communications between schools and law enforcement agencies as well as other security upgrades.
