Voters Split On Referendums In Tazewell And Richlands
The money generated would have been used for public safety and education, but Tazewell County voters decided otherwise as they vote down a proposed four percent meal tax on prepared food and drinks at restaurants and select convenience stores. In Richlands, Virginia voters did approve the passage of liquor by the drink. With the approval, the town will now be able to sale mixed drinks at restaurants licensed by the Virginia ABC Authority.
