USDA Announces $3 Million Grant for Scott County

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development has announced a $3,000,000 grant for broadband in Scott County.

Congressman Morgan Girffith supports the project, calling it critical for economic development in the region.

The USDA Rural Development is supporting this project through its Community Connect Grants program. The investment is expected to bring state of the art services to 554 households and 20 businesses in the Nickelsville area. It will also establish a community center for residents to access computer terminals and WiFi for free.
