Gate City Man Indicted on Child Porn Charges

According to the Scott County Commonwealth’s Attorney, a man has been indicted on charges including distributing child pornography.

47-year-old Bobby Allen Thorpe, of Gate City, has been charged with 1 count of trading child pornogrpahy, 4 counts of receiving child pornogrpahy, 4 counts of distributing child porn, and 1 count of solicitation.

Internet Crimes Against Children were able to provide a CyberTip that lead to a joint investigation by several local law enforcement agencies, and the Scott County Commonwealth’s Attorney to bring the charges against Thorpe.

Chat logs and over 100 pictures were seized during the investigations.
