Scott Board Of Supervisors Oppose Ballad Health’s Reduction In Trauma Care Centers
The Scott County Board of Supervisors passes a pair of resolutions opposing Ballad Health’s recent announcement on changes to its trauma care and neonatal services. The first resolution opposes the reduction of Holston Valley Medical Center from a level one to a level three trauma center. The second resolution recommends Ballad Health keep Holston Valley Medical Center as at least a level two trauma center. Ballad health, under the certificate of public advantage with the Tennessee Department of Health has the ability to freely realign services but needs approval to change services for at risk babies.
