Sullivan Commissioners Reluctant To Attend Ballad Informational Meeting

Ballad Health officials are inviting Sullivan County Commissioners to a closed, informational meeting Friday to learn more about proposed changes in Ballad Health’s Level one Trauma Centers…an invitation that some commissioners say they will not attend in fear of violating open meetings laws. The commission recently approved a resolution denouncing Ballads efforts to reduce ratings for two Level One trauma centers in Kingsport and Bristol. The meeting is scheduled for nine am Friday, but is closed to the public.
