Sullivan County Bus Driver Charged in Morning Crash
A Sullivan Central High School bus driver has been charged in Tuesday morning bus crash near Sullivan Central High School that sent a woman to the hospital.
George Cole is charged with failure to yield the right-of-way. Cole is facing an additional charge after the only proof of insurance he provided was expired.
According to the traffic repirt the school bus was making a left from Highway 126 onto Shipley Ferry Road when Toyota Camry struck the bus. The Camry headed eastbound, was determined to have the right-of-way.
The driver of the Camry was extricated from the vehicle and taken to the Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
