Concerned Parents Show Up At Sullivan County School Board Meeting

It wasn’t on the agenda, but a recent announcement by Sullivan County School leaders indicating they were considering closing three schools certainly gained the attention of a group of concerned parents at Tuesday nights Sullivan County School Board meeting. This week school officials said they were considering closing Innovation Academy, Blountville Middle School and grades six through eight at Sullivan Garden. School officials say they are considering the closings because the school board’s entire renovation fund of one point six million dollars was cut. There is no word as to when the board will make a decision about closing the three schools.
