Sullivan Schools To Soon Have Resource Officer At Every County School

There’s good news for Sullivan County Schools. New school resource officers are either on the job or are being trained and a now a school resource officer will be located at each of the county schools by February. Some of the 14 new SRO’s are current Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office employees, while others came from law enforcement in Bristol, Tennessee, Kingsport, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the FBI. The Sullivan County Commission recently voted to approve spending one million dollars to hire the 14 SRO’s.
