Car Slams Into Chilhowie Virginia Home, Kills 87 Year Old Female Occupant Of The Home

Virginia State Police say an elderly woman has been killed in a bizarre hit and run crash in Chilhowie. According to state police, a gold 1993 Honda Accord was traveling west on Riverside Road when it ran off the right side of the highway. The car then crashed into a home in the 500 block of Riverside Road and hit and killed 87 year old Margaret Poe. Poe was the only one inside the home at the time of the crash. The search for the driver of that Gold Honda Accord is ongoing.
