Drunk Driver Hits Family of Five on Highway 421; Two Children sent to Hospital

A crash on Highway 421 involving a drunk driver sends two children to the hospital.

A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says the accident happened just after 2 P.M Saturday. Driver 28-year-old Jake Potter was driving north when he t-boned another vehicle in the passenger door attempting to turn onto Paul McGlammery Lane.

THP also reported that there were five people in the hit vehicle, two of which were children that were transported to the ER for treatment of unknown injuries.

Police arrested Potter on charges of DUI, possession of schedule 6 drugs, and failure to exercise due care.
