Sheila Keen Warren, the woman accused of killing another woman decades ago and who owned the Purple Cow restaurant in Kingsport with her husband, appeared in court in Wellington, Florida on Monday.
Prosecutors wanted the her trial to be set in November but a judge instead set a hearing in April.
Investigators say Keen-Warren dressed as a clown and killed Marlene Warren in 1990, at her front door just after the clown handed over a bouquet of flowers and balloons. Authorities suspect Warren was having an affair with Marlene Warren’s husband, a man she later married in 2002.
After the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office reopened the case in 2014, DNA evidence led the investigation into Keen Warren. Authorities arrested her in Virginia in 2017.
