Governor Elect Bill Lee Picks Kingsport Resident To Lead Labor And Workforce Development

A Kingsport resident has been named to head Governor Elect Bill Lee’s Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development. Dr. Jeff McCord, currently serves as vice president for Economic and Workforce Development at Northeast State Community College. McCord also leads Workforce Solutions at the Downtown Kingpsort Academic Village. McCord has more than 20 years of business and industry experience. McCord will take office when Governor Elect Lee is sworn in January 19th.
